We hope you can join us on our special day, September 22, 2012, when we begin our adventure of a lifetime. We have set up this site to help get information out to our guests as quickly as possible.

We chose a destination wedding due to majority of our friends and family being split between North Carolina and Texas. We thought by having our wedding in Vegas, this would allow everyone more options for entertainment. Our family and friends wouldn't just be spending money on airline tickets and hotel just to attend our wedding, they could make a vacation out of it. We know we are asking a lot for everyone to travel, but we are trying to be fair and not have half of our guests with all the travel expenses while the others have none. Vegas has all types of entertainment and there is something for everyone, no matter their age or interests. We want this to be a weekend trip that will be memorable by all, not just us.

Don and I will be arriving in Vegas on Thursday, September 20th, and returning to North Carolina Monday, September 24th. We would like to try to set up some meet and greet times to get together for a drink on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. We know it will be hard to spend adequate time with everyone within a 3 hour reception. Don has commented on that he has a lot more people to meet for the first time than I do and I would really like my family and friends to have the opportunity to get to know him. We are also thinking about trying to arrange an all girls group event and an all guys group event for Friday night. As soon as we have more info about this, we'll post it.

Don and I are starting to worry that we might not have enough seating for the reception area we chose due to the verbal response we've received so far. Our guest list is longer than we initially anticipated. We would like to ask everyone to give us an idea of the likelihood that you can attend as soon as possible, so we can make sure we have chosen the correct event space for our reception or inquire about different set up options. Don't worry, you do not have to 100% commit before the August 15, 2012 deadline. Formal invitations will be mailed in July.
